We're Back

Feeling refreshed after our little break I am delighted to welcome you back to our monthly challenges.

For those of you who haven't visited before we are a monthly challenge which runs from 1st of each month to the end of that month.  Some months it is just for fun with no prize and other months there will be a prize.  Entry will be via a link at the bottom of each challenge. Any crafts are welcome.  The only rules are that it must be a project completed during that month and we must be able to see some resemblance to the original inspiration.

So without further delay here is your challenge for February.  I chose a rather appropriate picture from design seeds.  How you use it as inspiration is completely up to you.

This month I am offering a small prize of some book print flowers for one lucky participant (chosen at random on 1st March) who has linked up via inlinkz.

Returning to the design team are Eleni, Helen and Chris.  I am delighted to have our new members Astrid, Lisa, Shell and Nuzhat on board and this is what they all created:

From a delivery box to
a magazine holder!
I used the 'Garage Days' collection from Kaiser Crafts to complete my project.

For my first project as a member of this design team, this month I created a folder. I've used mostly supplies that I either made myself or were lying around the house eg. wrapping paper and such.

I made the tag myself by doodling swirls on plain card stock with a neon pink pen and then making the effect a little subtle by covering it with a piece of vellum.
The hot air balloon is also hand drawn and painted as are the clouds. The dots in the top left corner are hand drawn in neon pink. Hope you are inspired by this project, don't forget to leave a link to your own!

Hi, this is my first project for The Craft Garden and I had so much fun creating ! I was so happy to be asked and looking forward to inspire all of you ! I was inspired by the wood and the hanging board, what will be your inspiration???

Hi everyone!  This is my first project here, and I was really inspired by the pallet wood in the photo.  I got some cards that look like pallets in my post-Christmas shopping binges and here's what I created.  I used several of the colors in the inspiration photo as well.

Shell

Firstly I want to say thank you for asking me to join your fab team. This card was inspired by pretty much everything in the photo. I thought the wood looked like a stable door so I dug out one of my favourite LOTV images. I also used most of the colours & the sign!

Eleni

It's great to be back, and I'm happy to be joining the Craft Garden again ... I was inspired by the colours and the tag to make an art journal page in my new journal.

It’s such a pleasure to be part of The Craft Garden Design Team again and also looking forward to working with such talented ladies. For my project today, I am sharing a couple of pages from a new Coffee Table Display Mixed Media Book, I just started. Kerry picked such fab colors for this challenge, and it was such an inspiration to work with them.  My book pages included a couple of Twinchies as well as an ATC, which can be seen peeking out of the mini pocket. The whole ATC can be found on my original post.

Please click the inlinkz button to link up your project. Entry is open until 23:59 GMT on 28th February 2013 and a winner will be drawn at random on 1st March. Good luck

  1. Great projects everyone, such a wonderful array of styles and creativity, and Kerry love the little paper flowers, they'd look fabulous on any kind of project. I also want to say welcome to the the new and old Design Team members, it's such a pleasure to work with you.
