February Challenge And January Winner

February brings us Shrove Tuesday and I couldn't resist using this photo as your inspiration - source and a bit of info

You have until midnight on 28th February to upload your entry via the inlinkz button below.  I will pick a winner at random after that date from all the entries received to win a bundle of ribbons.  As always your project can be absolutely anything as long as it is created during the month of February 2013.  You could even make some pancakes and enter a piccie of those - mmm my mouth is watering at the thought of pancakes drenched in maple syrup.

Here is how our fantastic design team were inspired:

For my project I was inspired by the vintage theme of the photograph and so I made a vintage bookmark using embossing and seam binding.

I wasn't sure which way to go with this months challenge, either vintage or a cooking theme. I then remembered a Tando project I had with a kitchen theme so I gave it a vintage effect and hopefully captured both ideas. I am having a bit of a 'Tando' thing at the moment, it's so easy to work with it makes projects very easy!

I was inspired by the women & the village scene ... traditions I feel are a very important part of life.
So I decided to try something 'new' in my Art Journal and went for a village scene / portrait of lady.

I was inspired by the vintage style of the photo and tried my first sepia inspired coloured image

We had a lot of entries in January and your winner is number 21 which is Ani.  Ani please can you email me at craftgardenshop@aol.com and I'll send your prize asap.
